Kathryn (Kate) Devlin, PhD, is a researcher, consultant, and instructor. A neuropsychologist by training, she earned a PhD in clinical psychology and neuroscience from Temple University and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Brown University. She completed a clinical psychology internship at the VA Maryland Health Care System and a clinical neuropsychology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. She has served as a faculty member at Drexel University and Widener University and is the owner of Cognometrics, LLC, providing scientific consulting to academic, medical, and industry clients. She has co-authored 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and over 70 conference presentations.
Dr. Devlin’s research investigates brain health in a variety of populations, including older adults and people living with HIV, epilepsy, or brain injury. In the realm of brain injury, Dr. Devlin collaborates with the Drexel University Applied Neuro-Technologies Laboratory to use video telematics, virtual reality, and cognitive assessment to improve the prediction of risky driving. Dr. Devlin is an expert in data management and statistical analysis, including traditional statistical methods, mixed effects models, and structural equation modeling (SEM). The ultimate goal of her work is to enhance brain health and daily functioning through early and accurate detection and targeted interventions. Dr. Devlin’s research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation and recognized by the Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR) and the Philadelphia Neuropsychology Society.
