Jean Shelton obtained her PhD and MBA from Drake University and serves as the CEO for On With Life, a neurorehabilitation facility in Ankeny Iowa. Dr. Shelton advocates for the special rehabilitation needs of the neuro-population by serving on the Governor's Council on Brain Injury (Iowa), supporting the development of the Foundation for the Advancement of Brain Rehabilitation (FABR), serving as a member of the Traumatic Brain Injury Regional Advisory Council (TBI Model System with the Mayo Clinic), and served past chair of the Arts and Neuroscience Networking Group with ACRM. Dr. Shelton is as a strong advocate for the use of arts-based interventions to support the rehabilitation process and has been a prior presenter at ACRM and is currently enrolled as an art therapy student (master's in art therapy and counseling) at West Liberty University.. Additionally, Dr. Shelton is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
