Prateek Grover MD PhD MHA is an internationally recognized physician-scientist-leader in the field of Limb loss and Preservation Rehabilitation. He is an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Penn State College of Medicine, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Penn State University and serves as the Vice Chair of Quality and Safety and Associate Residency Program Director (Research) for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Penn State Health.
Dr Grover directs the Limb loss, difference, and preservation Rehabilitation Center for Research, Education, and Service (LimbRehabCaRES) and co-directs Health Systems Science for Graduate Medical Education at Penn State College of Medicine. Service leadership roles include Medical Director and Chair of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Committee for the Amputee Coalition, Chair of the Amputee/Limb Restoration Rehabilitation Networking Group at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Co-Chair of the Policy and Legislation Committee at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Grover's education spans biomedical engineering, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, healthcare administration, health systems science, dissemination and implementation science, and artificial intelligence. His clinical and programmatic work centers on limb loss and preservation rehabilitation. His research focuses on designing and implementing equitable limb care continuum programs, developing technology-inclusive prosthetic rehabilitation and phantom pain management protocols, and health systems science/quality improvement curricular design and dissemination. His service work focus on limb loss patient advocacy, interprofessional education, and disability policy.
