Bethany Rajaratnam, M.S., CCC-SLP, CPHQ, is a senior speech-language pathologist at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in Washington D.C., where she supports patients in both the inpatient adult and pediatric rehabilitation units. She holds a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from California University of Pennsylvania, obtained in 2013. Throughout her career, Bethany has gained diverse experience in a variety of settings, including working at an approved private school for children with multiple disabilities, as well as in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and long-term acute care facilities. In addition to her clinical work, Bethany serves as the director of the inpatient student training program at NRH, demonstrating her passion for teaching and mentoring students in the field. Her clinical interests include adult and pediatric neurorehabilitation, tracheostomy management, and dysphagia rehabilitation, with a strong emphasis on providing patient-centered care.
