Joseph Rosenthal is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician employed by the University of Colorado School of Medicine as an Associate Professor. He received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He then went onto medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, CO. After graduating, he moved to Columbus, Ohio for his internship and residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Ohio State University Medical Center. After completing his residency training, he joined the faculty at the Ohio State University in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as an Assistant Professor. Later, he received his Masters of Public Health from the Ohio State University. He also received subspecialty Board Certification in Brain Injury Medicine. He has worked clinically in the both the inpatient and outpatient settings, treating patients with various neurorehabilitation needs. He has research experience, having worked on multiple research projects, both government and industry funded. He has been published multiple times on various neurorehabilitation topics. He moved back to Colorado in 2021 and joined the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is now the Medical Director for an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit and continues to treat patients with various rehabilitation needs.
