Katie Sewell is the Director of the Atrium Health Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program and Coordinator for Clinical Excellence at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. Katie graduated in 2012 from the College of Physician and Surgeons Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Columbia University in New York, New York. She went on to complete a yearlong Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program at Atrium Health in 2018. She has over 12 years of experience working with the neurologic patient population with a specific focus on acquired brain injury, disorders of the vestibular system, and neurodegenerative disease (specifically Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). She has presented and lectured at national conferences and post graduate programs on vestibular disorders and traumatic brain injury, spasticity management, Parkinsons Disease, and rehab innovation. She is Board Certified in Neurologic Physical Therapy and a member of the Neurology section of the APTA.
