Kathryn Johansson OTR/L, MSOT, is an Occupational Therapist II at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, an adult Level I Trauma Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kathryn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2016. She has worked at Froedtert Hospital since September 2016 with a focus on treating patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (ICU) with mechanical circulatory support devices (MCSD), ventricular assistive devices, and those undergoing heart and lung transplantation and other cardiopulmonary intervention since 2017. She has worked with the multidisciplinary team at Froedtert to develop a heart transplant roadmap, implemented best practice initiatives hospital system wide, contributed to an ICU sleep optimization project, presented posters on MCSD and rehab at the Heart & Vascular Town Hall, and has given numerous interdisciplinary educational presentations on early mobility.
