Lindsay Nelson, PhD, ABPP-CN, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist, Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurology, and Director of Translational Research in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Nelson conducts clinical and translational studies of traumatic brain injury (TBI). She has served as Principal Investigator on several federally and institutionally funded studies, with a focus on improving the classification of acute TBI, measurement of clinical outcomes, and healthcare systems for TBI. Dr. Nelson serves on the executive committee of the International TBI Research Initiative (InTBIR) and is a co-investigator on the two largest American sport and civilian trauma center studies of TBI, the CARE Consortium and TRACK-TBI. Nelson is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other sources.
