Jade Sampford is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and a Professional Doctorate candidate. Her passion focuses on the development and implementation of pre-specified weight management interventions, using the Rehabilitation Treatment Specification System (RTSS) to articulate and test treatment theory within clinical practice. Jade has presented work at national and international obesity and physiotherapy conferences and has contributed to published literature in this field. Alongside her clinical and academic roles, she actively advocates for the integration of the physiotherapy profession within obesity care pathways and promotes the use of theoretically informed behaviour change techniques, specified by the RTSS, to support long-term health behaviour change and sustainable weight loss.
