Dr. Mark Bowden received his physical therapy degree from Duke University in 1995, and after 8 years of clinical practice and management, received his PhD from the University of Florida in 2009. He completed a Fellowship in the APTA Education Leadership Institute in 2014 prior to assuming the role of Professor and Director of the Physical Therapy Division at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). At the beginning of 2023, Bowden joined Brooks Rehabilitation as Vice President of Clinical Integration and Research. His vision for Brooks is to be a national leader in utilizing both best evidence and practice-driven data to influence future clinical decision-making and to assist individuals in achieving their “highest level of recovery and participation in life."
