Dr. Ellen Henning received her Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Iowa. She completed her doctoral internship in pediatric psychology through the Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI) and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Children’s Medical Center Dallas in Dallas, TX. Dr. Henning is currently a licensed psychologist in the Pediatric Psychology Program in the Department of Behavioral Psychology at KKI. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As part of her clinical role, she is Outpatient Director for the Pediatric Psychology Program, she staffs the KKI Pediatric Post-COVID Rehabilitation clinic, and is the Director of Psychological Services for the KKI Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) clinic. Her research interests have focused on topics relevant to pediatric health psychology and specifically multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of long COVID and POTS in pediatric patients. She is currently a co-investigator on a grant through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and participating as a facilitator in the KKI Long COVID ECHO series providing information about long COVID in pediatrics to healthcare providers.
