As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois Chicago, I contribute to the Rehabilitation Measures Database in partnership with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab as part of the UIC OT Entry-Level OT Doctoral Program. I earned my PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2020. My research focuses on improving health and educational service outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within medical home primary care settings. I aim to enhance the effectiveness of care coordination strategies in healthcare systems to ensure better health and developmental support for autistic children and youth. Specializing in secondary data analysis, I work extensively with datasets like the National Survey of Children's Health, National Survey of Early Care and Education, and electronic health record data. My work advances the understanding of the intersection between healthcare delivery and educational access for the autism community, contributing to the development of more effective, integrated support systems that bridge the gap between medical care and educational services.
