Kiah Atkinson has been working in the acute inpatient rehabilitation setting for 7 years, after graduating from NYU in 2018 with a Master in Occupational Therapy. Most recently Kiah has been working at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab on the traumatic brain injury unit and is now a Senior Level II Occupational Therapist. She obtained her Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation from the American Occupational Therapy Association in 2023. Some of her recent interests include ensuring evidence based standard of care for patients in disordered consciousness, participating in TBI mentorship opportunities, and engaging in leadership roles on the unit.
