Dr. Sanford is a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and in Polytrauma Rehabilitation in the South Texas VA. Dr Sanford is a recent graduate of the PhD in Psychology program from University of Texas Health Sciences (2023). Dr Sanford has recently conducted and analyzed a Quality Improvement (QI) assessment evaluating the long-term challenges of maintaining gains after discharge from rehabilitation among active-duty special operators with multiple mild TBI and comorbidities in. She has recently been published in Cephalalgia and is currently drafting and finalizing two other manuscripts for publication. Dr. Sanford has also served as a Naval Officer (2002-2012), with six combat deployments in multiple active Theaters.
