I am a Research Scientist III at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University. My research aims to improve functional independence in individuals with neurological deficits by identifying neuroplasticity mechanisms and interventions that enhance motor recovery and rehabilitation outcomes. Over the past 7 years, I have led and collaborated on multiple clinical and translational research projects, including large-scale, federally funded clinical trials. As a principal investigator, I currently lead multiple NIH- and Department of Defense-funded projects, with research budgets exceeding $6 million.
