Fatima Imdad is a Binghamton University alum, where she received her BS in Integrative Neuroscience. Currently, she is a Research Coordinator working with Dr. Bushnik at NYU, where she is working with the MENTOR program, which addresses the existing gap in continuity of care for patients with disability as they transition through the stages of medical treatment, rehabilitation and self-managed wellness through a specific set of wellness activities they can practice at home, as an extension of their rehabilitation or shortly after their rehabilitation has ended. She is also working on TBI Model Systems, which is a prospective, longitudinal multi-center study which examines the course of recovery and outcomes following the delivery of a coordinated system of acute neurotrauma and inpatient rehabilitation. She is passionate about bringing and advocating for medical and mental health access to marginalized groups, without adequate access to necessary treatments.
