Somayyeh Mohammadi has a PhD degree in health psychology from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her research centers on the biopsychosocial and structural determinants that shape the well-being and mental health of individuals with chronic conditions and their family members. More particularly, her research focuses on the barriers faced by individuals with chronic conditions and their family members in accessing healthcare. The goal of her research is to understand and remove these barriers by increasing knowledge about them, advocating for policies that facilitate access to healthcare, and developing interventions that improve access.
