Dr. Keira Hays is a board-certified neuropsychologist at Craig Hospital. She works with adults and adolescents who are participating in inpatient rehabilitation after an acquired brain injury. Clinical interests include neuropsychological assessment; cognitive and behavioral changes after brain injury; disorders of consciousness; anosognosia and building insight after brain injury; patient and family psychosocial adjustment after injury; community reintegration; and rehabilitation team functioning.
Dr. Hays completed her doctorate degree at the University of Houston and her predoctoral internship at the James A. Haley VA in Tampa, Florida. She completed a two-year neuropsychology fellowship at Mentis Neurorehabilitation in Houston, Texas with a focus on post-acute brain injury rehabilitation, before becoming a staff neuropsychologist at Mentis. She then transitioned to TIRR, working in both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings, before returning to her home state of Colorado to work at Craig Hospital.
