Laura Excell is a board-certified mental health provider in private practice and pro bono volunteer working with children and adults experiencing severe persistent mental illness. She earned a PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology. She holds a Doctor in Nursing, MS in Nursing, and MA in Counseling from the University of Colorado. In 2021, she was awarded a Diversity Complementary and Integrative Medicine Fellowship with the American Congress for Rehabilitation Medicine. Her current research interests include improving health outcomes, interpersonal neurobiology, cultural intelligence, homelessness, mental illness, nature-based therapy, and complementary/integrative medicine.
