Utility of the Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA) Training for Clinical Psychology Doctoral Students in Aphasia Mental Health Treatment

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the impact of stroke and aphasia on mental health, and list barriers to mental health treatment for persons with aphasia.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to define communication partner training (CPT) and discuss on what skills may be learned through completion of this training.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to provide information to interdisciplinary providers on the potential benefits of CPT training for clinical practice.
