Building a Transdisciplinary Outpatient Program for the Neurological Population 2551

Starting and growing a transdisciplinary outpatient therapy program for neurological conditions has huge benefit for the persons we serve, but can have its own challenges in making sure the complex needs of the neurological population is met. This symposia will present a systematic walk through the clinical and administrative domains of care that can help provide the foundation components of a transdisciplinary outpatient neuro therapy clinic.
We will share how we established and continue to utilize our domains of care to address the whole person in areas of physical, communication, psychosocial, cognitive, medical, community, and quality of life through a comprehensive transdisciplinary approach to care that has successfully helped us have significant growth. We will share how we established and utilized our domains of care both clinically and administratively.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion participant will be able to describe the benefit of utilizing a transdisciplinary approach to care for the best patient outcomes
  • Upon completion participant will be able to identify the key domains of care to utilize for establishing and growing a comprehensive transdisciplinary neurological outpatient therapy clinic
  • Upon completion participant will be able to identify strategies and interventions based on evidence based practice to utilize in a transdisciplinary model of care
  • Upon completion participant will be able to identify strategies from the administrative side of care to develop a comprehensive neurological outpatient therapy clinic.
  • Upon completion participant will be able to describe the difference between interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach to outpatient therapy care.
