Dr. Zahava Friedman, PhD, OT, BCBA is currently a full time Assistant Professor at Kean University’s Occupational Therapy department. Zahava worked as a pediatric occupational therapy clinician, in both public and private school-based settings, from 2007-2021. Dr. Friedman's research interests include inter professional collaboration, synergies between occupational therapy and applied behavior analysis, serving young caregivers and families, and the creation of rigorous, engaging student learning experiences. She has been invited to present at international, national and statewide conferences, such as ISSOTL, IPEC, ACRM, AOTA and NJEA, in a variety of public/private school-based settings, and for special education non-profit organizations. As PI of the Raising Families Intercollegiate Lab, Dr. Friedman leads a team of over 40 interprofessional students, clinicians and faculty in the design and delivery of young-family support programming.
