Occupational Therapy Student

Kaci Behrens is an occupational therapy student from Ankeny, Iowa. She graduated from William Jewell College in 2023 Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Psychological Sciences. During her time at William Jewell, Kaci was a dedicated student-athlete, excelling on the volleyball team and earning Academic All-Conference honors. She also served as the sole student representative on the William Jewell Institutional Review Board, was an active member of Mortar Board, and participated in Delta Zeta Sorority, all while graduating in the top 10% of her class.
Kaci is pursuing her Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree from Des Moines University and is set to graduate in May 2026. Kaci will be completing her first fieldwork experience at Northwest Behavioral Health, an outpatient pediatric clinic in Meridian, Idaho. Following completion of her first level II fieldwork experience, Kaci will complete her second fieldwork experience at St. Luke's Hospital, an acute care and inpatient rehabilitation setting near Kansas City, Missouri.
After graduation, Kaci will become a clinical occupational therapist. She has a particular interest in interdisciplinary team collaboration within the hospital setting and serving children with special needs.
