Dr. Angela Stolfi is the Director of Physical Therapy, Director of Therapy Services at Rusk Ambulatory Satellite Locations, Site Coordinator of PT Clinical Education, and Director of PT Residency and Fellowship Programs at Rusk Rehabilitation, NYU Langone Health. Dr. Stolfi holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Rehabilitation at NYU School of Medicine and regularly lectures in the physical therapy programs at both NYU Steinhardt and the University of Scranton. She graduated from the University of Scranton with her BS in Health Sciences in 1996, a Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1997, and her transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007. Dr. Stolfi ensures consistency of practice with respect to physical therapy across all clinical locations, and promotes quality education for student physical therapists, PT Residents, and PT Fellows-in-Training, at NYU Langone Health’s Rusk Rehabilitation. The focus of much of Dr. Stolfi’s current and recent research relates to mentoring and education of student physical therapists. She is also an associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Education in Physical Therapy (JCEPT), and a co-chair of Rusk Rehabilitation’s Educational Excellence Committee, which promotes inter-professional education for rehabilitation professionals covering a wide range of topics across a variety of clinical areas of practice. Dr. Stolfi also serves as the Director of NYU Langone’s Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Department and her other professional interests include Interprofessional Education, Healthcare Leadership and Mentorship, and Safe Patient Handling and Mobility.
