Ashley Buerger is from Blaine, Minnesota. She graduated from Minnesota State University- Mankato in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science. She is currently attending Des Moines University where she will be graduating in 2026 with a Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
She has worked within long-term care facilities assisting the aging adult population with there daily care needs. She has also worked in an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility where she assist therapists in helping children with higher needs.
She has a particular interest in public health, military health services, as well as the aging adult population. Her current research involvement at DMU includes trying to gain an understand of intimate partner violence from the perspective of homeless women.
