Skylar Cuevas is a third-year medical student at the University of Louisville School of Medicine with a strong interest in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Skylar's research focuses on the effects of spinal cord epidural stimulation (scES) and training on the well-being of individuals with SCI, incorporating perspectives from both participants and their caregivers. This work reflects a broader commitment to patient-centered rehabilitation strategies that enhance quality of life and functional recovery. Skylar has also contributed to medical education through initiatives aimed at improving awareness and understanding of PM&R among medical students.
