Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Christine Gagnon is a clinical psychologist in the Pain Management Center at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab with duties in both clinical practice and clinical research. She has a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a specialization and postdoctoral training in health psychology with an emphasis in pain. Dr. Gagnon is an associate professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has treated numerous patients using evidence-based psychological treatments, including mindfulness based strategies, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and biofeedback. She has published manuscripts and books chapters in field of chronic pain, with an emphasis on outcomes based research. She has supervised and mentored colleagues, fellows, psychology practicum students, medical students and residents in research design, statistical analysis and scientific writing.
