Visiting Lecturer
UCF
Debbie Forman is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Central Florida, where she teaches courses in language science, development, and disorders. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Practice at Texas A&M University–Kingsville, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in communication sciences and disorders. In that role, she also supervised graduate clinicians in both on-site and teletherapy settings, advised NSSLHA, participated in graduate admissions, and coordinated externship placements.
Her academic work is grounded in over 13 years of clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist, including service as Director of Rehabilitation. Her clinical practice spanned geriatric care and Pre-K through eighth-grade educational settings. She earned a Clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2018 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthcare Providers Education.
Her teaching emphasizes the integration of clinical experience with academic content, application of evidence-based practice in university clinic settings, and modeling practical, real-world implementation of course material.
