Kishor Lakshminarayanan earned his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). He is currently an Associate Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, with research interests in stroke rehabilitation, motor imagery, EEG/EMG acquisition and processing. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at VIT from 2019 to 2023. Before joining VIT, he was a Research Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic. His PhD research at UWM focused on "Design and Development of a Robot Guided Rehabilitation Scheme for Upper Extremity Rehabilitation" and was completed in 2016.
