With over two decades of expertise, Benjamin Arnold, MA, is a recognized thought-leader in the area of multilingual translations and cross-cultural health outcomes assessment. As the President of FACITtrans, he oversees the delivery of high-quality Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) translations for global pharmaceutical organizations, international health researchers, and federally funded NIH research initiatives.
Mr. Arnold is an active contributor to the field, holding memberships in the American Translators Association (ATA), the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and the International Society for Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL). As former co-chair of ISOQOL’s Translation and Cultural Adaptation Special Interest Group (TCA-SIG), he currently serves on its steering committee where he plays a pivotal role in making recommendations and shaping best practices for cross-cultural patient-centered research.
As a subject matter expert (SME) in translation and cultural adaptation, Mr. Arnold has delivered workshops and presentations in multiple languages at international conferences focusing on challenges encountered when translating COAs for use in international clinical trials and clinical practice. His commitment to bridging linguistic and cultural gaps has significantly enhanced global health research and communication.
Mr. Arnold holds an MA in Multicultural and Corporate Communication from DePaul University, Chicago and a BA in Spanish (Linguistics) with a minor in Portuguese from the University of Arizona.
