Melanie Navos, PT, DPT, GCS- I am a second-year PhD student in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. I am a licensed physical therapist and a board-certified specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy. In addition to my doctoral studies, I have clinical experience working in a community-based acute care hospital, primarily treating older adults. My research focuses on healthcare utilization and its impact on the health outcomes of older adults with chronic conditions, particularly heart failure and heart disease.
