Lynn Worobey, PhD, DPT, ATP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh with secondary appointments in the Departments of Bioengineering, Physical Therapy, and Rehabilitation Science & Technology. Dr. Worobey is the Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Model Center on Spinal Cord Injury.
Dr. Worobey’s research interests are clinical and translational studies that focus on enhancing independence and participation of individuals with disabilities. Her work is rooted in the belief that lived experiences must inform research, clinical practice. Her current projects span diverse areas including functional outcomes following neurologic injury, improving rehabilitation outcomes through training and assessment, wheelchair quality, health equity, and smart technology and innovative assistive solutions
