Healthcare Communications Associate
Shirley Ryan AbilityLab
I am a health and science communicator with more than 20 years of experience translating complex scientific ideas and research into accessible content for lay audiences, including through articles, podcasts, web content, videos, social media messages, newsletters, infographics and blog posts.
As a healthcare communications associate in the Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR) at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, I provide support for the Rehabilitation Measures Database by producing infographics based on commonly used rehabilitation measures. I also meet with occupational therapy graduate students at the University of Illinois Chicago to review and provide feedback on measure infographics they create as part of their measurement curriculum. Additionally, I produce a monthly podcast titled INside the OUTcomes: A Rehabilitation Research Podcast, distribute three CROR newsletters (HCBS Quality Matters, CROR Outcomes and MRSCICS Matters) and manage CROR’s social media presence.
