Veteran's Healthcare System of the Ozarks
Dr. Travis Schmitt is a Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner currently practicing at the Veteran's Healthcare System of the Ozarks in Primary Care supporting the Fort Smith Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Schmitt earned his PharmD from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. Upon graduating, he served in the United States Air Force for seven years. During that time, he progressed to role of Pharmacy Commander and also excelled as the Base Medical Group Emergency Management Lead. Dr. Schmitt transition careers to the Veteran's Affair in 2019 and continues to hold scope of practice credentials to this day. In his current role he manages chronic disease states for veterans and collaborates with medical providers, nurses, and staff. Additionally, Dr. Schmitt has been involved in the Grand Rounds lectures providing three lectures and takes on an adjunct automated data processing application coordinator(ADPAC) role.
