I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training Program through the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, and a certified speech-language pathologist with nine years of clinical experience. My research seeks to improve understanding of the cognitive abilities that mediate access to language in aphasia so that they may be leveraged to improve functional communication outcomes. As a clinical speech-language pathologist, I have actively engaged in the translation of research into frontline practice in a variety of settings.
