Carly Roberts received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from University of Florida, and both her Master of Arts and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degrees from the University of Southern California. Dr. Roberts focused on the development of a rehabilitation paradigm to serve the people of LA County recovering from COVID-19 during her doctoral residency, as well as on education and discharge recommendations for individuals with COVID-19 and those with differentiated neurological diagnoses. Currently, Dr. Roberts is a clinical and research occupational therapist in the inpatient rehabilitation setting with focus on neurological conditions, specifically spinal cord injury (SCI). Professional interests include decreasing hospital-acquired pressure injuries in individuals using specialty equipment, incorporating craft and sport into occupational therapy practice for neurologic populations, and exploring use of physical agent modalities for functional recovery in the SCI population.
