Sruthi Kundur is a medical student at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she is pursuing her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, expected in May 2027. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nova Southeastern University with minors in Public Health, Global Engagement, Human Nutrition, and Honors Transdisciplinary Studies. Sruthi has conducted extensive undergraduate research, including projects on feminine hygiene awareness, engagement in children with autism spectrum disorder, and the psychological factors influencing preventive health behaviors. Her research has been presented at university symposia and involved advanced statistical analysis using R programming. She also interned at the Medical University of Graz in Austria, gaining hands-on experience in surgery and exposure to a variety of medical specialties.
Outside of academics, Sruthi has served as a tutor, organic chemistry lab assistant, and mentor, demonstrating a commitment to education and community building. She is the founder of Hygiene for Women, a global nonprofit focused on increasing access to feminine hygiene products through sustainable solutions. Through this initiative, she has organized hygiene camps internationally and created reusable sanitary products for women in need. Her leadership and service have been recognized through awards such as the President’s Faculty Research and Development Grant and the Razor’s Edge Global Scholarship.
