Senior Clinical Research Coordinator
The Ohio State University
Raquel Santiago Minarsch, PT, DPT, NCS, CCRP, Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at The Ohio State University in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department. I have eleven years of clinical experience as a physical therapist working with individuals with neurological disorders and over ten years contributing to spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, and neurodegenerative research. Over my career, I have been involved in more than 23 research projects across 5 labs. I now conduct research full time with a primary focus on functional and metabolic outcomes in SCI as the senior clinical research coordinator. The Pro-SCI lab (under principal investigator Dr. Ceren Yarar-Fisher) and the Belford Center for Spinal Cord Injury receive support from federal, state, industry-sponsored, and charitable funds. Over my career, my research has consistently focused on advancing rehabilitation interventions, standardizing outcome measures, and identifying and implementing novel strategies to improve autonomic, metabolic, and functional outcomes. My specific role within the research involves PT specific assessments or interventions, managing and implementing clinical trials, leading research teams, building multi-disciplinary collaborations, and organizing the workflow for the lab.
