Heidi Fagan is an Occupational Therapist with over 16 years of experience at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare. She began her academic journey at Keene State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and an Associate’s degree in Chemical Dependency. She went on to complete a Master’s of Education in Occupational Therapy at Springfield College. Ms. Fagan is a certified lymphedema therapist, a certified brain injury specialist, and a certified stroke rehabilitation specialist. Her clinical expertise focuses on the treatment of individuals with stroke and brain injury, with a particular specialization in neurological vision deficits.
Throughout her career, Ms. Fagan has contributed to several research initiatives. She currently serves as the primary investigator in a study examining best practices for treating visual field deficits post-stroke using conventional therapy versus interactive technology. Additionally, she has contributed to research on cognitive screening tools and the use of assistive technology to support upper extremity function after stroke. Ms. Fagan is passionate about mentorship and professional development, and recently began a secondary role as a Clinical Educator.
