Mary A. Khetani, ScD, OTR/L, FAOTA (she/her) is a skilled occupational therapist and rehabilitation scientist with more than 20 years of clinical and research experience. She values equitable access to pursuing scholarly excellence in ways that can positively transform how children and families experience life with disability. Dr. Khetani serves as a Full Tenured Professor and Associate Director of Graduate Studies for the PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at University of Illinois Chicago. In her faculty and administrative roles, Dr. Khetani has taken a principled approach to: 1) successfully mentor and sponsor across difference to nurture students, staff, faculty, and practitioners in rigorous research and knowledge translation projects advancing the scholarship of discovery, integration, and application; 2) uphold and upgrade organizational policies and practices to ensure equitable access to excellent undergraduate and graduate student, staff, and faculty experiences; and 3) creatively cultivate strategic scholarly partnerships with clear and compelling value propositions. Dr. Khetani serves as Co-I and a Clinical Team Lead on the Creating AI-Enabled All-Health Team Data Fabric (CAIDF) project funded by ARPA-H.
