Clinical Coordinator
Wayne State University
I am a Master's student in the Physiology department at Wayne State University. I currently work in Dr. Gino Panza’s research lab at the VA Medical Center in Detroit as a research assistant and clinical coordinator. The study I am involved with focuses on a mild intermittent hypoxia protocol in individuals with motor incomplete spinal cord injury.
I love working with people, and my passion is learning more about the functioning of the human body. Working in Dr. Panza’s lab has not only given me a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to clinical research, but also allowed me to learn more about spinal cord injury and how it impacts autonomic function, sleep, and quality of life in the individuals who have it. This experience has assured me that my next step is to pursue a career in the medical field by applying to medical schools.
