Dr. T. Karthikeyan is a renowned physiotherapy academician and clinical expert with over 25 years of experience in sports physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy education. He currently serves as Associate Professor and Secretary of the Sports Council at Gurugram University, having formerly held the roles of Dean of Student Welfare and Chairperson of the Department of Physiotherapy. A Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences and D.Litt. holder, he is also FIFA-certified in Football Medicine. His prior service at NIMHANS, Bangalore, spanned 17 years, shaping his expertise in neuro, cardio-respiratory, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Dr. Karthikeyan has over 300 publications,Six patents, and 30 awards. He initiated PG programs in Sports, Neuro, and Cardio Physiotherapy, modernized physiotherapy labs with equipment worth ₹55 lakhs, and enhanced OPD systems. Known for his research acumen and leadership, he actively mentors scholars and champions clinical excellence, student welfare, and community outreach through a multilingual, multidisciplinary approach.
