Nicole Langton-Frost CCC-SLP, BCS-S is an Acute Care Rehabilitation Therapy Manager at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She specializes in knowledge translation in acute care rehabilitation, leveraging expertise in early rehabilitation and interdisciplinary ICU care to bridge research and practice in critical care settings. As a clinician-researcher, Nicole has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and consensus guidelines on dysphagia, post-stroke rehabilitation, and SLP interventions in the ICU. Her work includes developing and implementing new models of care, such as the Rehab2Home program and a Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) program, enhancing patient outcomes and hospital efficiency. Clinically, she is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with extensive expertise in dysphagia, neurorehabilitation, and critical care rehabilitation. With board certification in swallowing and swallowing disorders (BCS-S) and a robust background in clinical innovation, research, and education, Nicole has significantly contributed to advancing patient care and practice in acute care and intensive care settings. Beyond clinical practice, Nicole serves as an adjunct professor at Loyola University and Towson University. She has also mentored and trained clinicians across various settings and has led the SLP Clinical Fellowship Programs. Nicole has presented at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Johns Hopkins Critical Care Rehabilitation Conference, and World Stroke Congress.
