Eric Stewart, PT, DPT, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and faculty within the Johns Hopkins Hospital – University of Delaware acute care residency. He received his B.S. in Athletic Training from Ithaca College and his MSPT and DPT from Utica College. In 2023, he was awarded the APTA Acute Care Katherine Harris Acute Care Educator Award for excellence in acute care classroom instruction. Dr. Stewart is also a past member of the Acute Care Section’s Entry Level Skills Task Force and is co-author of the manuscript entitled “Defining Entry-Level Practice in Acute Care Physical Therapy Practice” published in the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy. Dr. Stewart has lectured nationally on acute care practice, interprofessional education, and innovations in clinical education. Dr. Stewart is a credentialed clinical instructor trainer for the American Physical Therapy Association and holds clinical expertise within the acute care setting with a focus on patients with pulmonary disorders and critical illness
