Dr. Jessica Wolfe has been a behavioral researcher, neuropsychologist and executive in behavioral health sciences and public health for over 40 years. Currently, Jessica advises on clinical and epidemiological research at the Harvard Injury Control Research Center (HICRC) at Harvard School of Public Health and at Spaulding Research Hospital’s Traumatic Brain Injury Model Research programs. Previously, Jessica was Senior Clinical Advisor, Trauma Research Programs at Cohen Veterans Bioscience where she focused on strategy, assessment methodology and outcomes measurement in PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related disorders. Jessica also served as professional Research Associate, Harvard Medical School, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and as senior consultant to ESC (formerly Executive Service Corps), leading projects on non-profit strategy and their management.
Jessica helped found the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Center for PTSD where she subsequently developed, launched and directed the National Center’s Women’s Health Sciences Division, one of the first national clinical and research initiatives addressing trauma and gender. There, she led competitively funded, large scale, research initiatives for VA, DoD and NIMH on war trauma, military sexual assault, and Gulf War illnesses. During that time, she was Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at Boston University.
Jessica received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. She completed her Master's in Public Health from Harvard University (HSPH; Healthcare Management and Policy) as well as three classes at Harvard Business School during that time. Jessica has considerable community liaison and board experience including past service as a Trustee and Member, Executive Committee, for Partners Continuing Care/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Network (now Mass General Brigham), Director of Neurofibromatosis NE, Inc., and Trustee of the Wellesley Free Library. She currently serves on the board and executive committee of Florida-based Wayside House which offers gender-specific comprehensive services for women in recovery. Other interests include AI and interactive/digital health technologies, neuroimaging in PTSD and TBI, and stress adaptation across the lifespan. Jessica has over 85 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has spoken extensively. She is widely regarded as an innovator and gender expert in her field.
