Ann Marie graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2009 from Denmark and holds a Master's Degree (Cand.scient.san) in Health Science from the University of Southern Denmark. Professionally, she has diverse experience working in both primary and specialist healthcare settings. In primary healthcare, she primarily worked with patients suffering from musculoskeletal impairments. Since 2015, she has focused on neurorehabilitation, particularly in the assessment and treatment of patients with stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological diseases. She has specialized in motion analysis at the Motion Analysis Lab at Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital, further enhancing her expertise in this field.
She is researching the use of digital technologies in stroke rehabilitation. She is also involved in a significant EU research project that will shape further research in a postdoctoral position centred around the use of Enriched Environment in stroke rehabilitation. Her career is dedicated to advancing the field of neurorehabilitation through both clinical practice and innovative research, with a strong motivation to improve patient outcomes and explore new therapeutic technologies.
