Susan Robinson-Whelen, Ph.D., holds multiple appointments, including Investigator at the Spinal Cord Injury and Disability Research Center (SCIDR) at TIRR Memorial Hermann, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Baylor College of Medicine, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of PM&R at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She also serves as Co-Director of the Texas Model Spinal Cord Injury System (TMSCIS) at TIRR Memorial Hermann. Her research focuses on the health and well-being of people with disabilities, particularly individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) and women with mobility impairments. Dr. Robinson-Whelen has served as Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-Investigator (Co-I) on more than 20 federally funded studies, including those aimed at developing and testing health promotion intervention programs specifically designed for people with disabilities.
