Md Refat Uz Zaman Sajib is a Ph.D. candidate in Community Health at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), specializing in digital health interventions, rehabilitation technology, and behavioral science. His research focuses on designing and developing AI-driven mHealth solutions to enhance self-management and rehabilitation for individuals with chronic conditions. Sajib has led multiple projects, including the conceptualization and development of Mukhorito, an mHealth intervention co-designed to improve adolescent sexual and reproductive health in Bangladesh. He is also actively involved in developing AI-powered digital health tools, such as an MS self-management app that integrates chatbot-based support, adaptive journaling, and behavioral tracking to enhance patient engagement and self-efficacy. His work aligns with rehabilitation research, health equity, and digital accessibility, emphasizing user-centered design and technology-driven behavior change strategies.
