Dr. Amy Kemp is an assistant professor at Washington State University in the College of Medicine. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist, who has practiced in adult medical settings since 2016, including skilled nursing facilities, inpatient & outpatient neurorehabilitation, home health, and private practice. She also holds an appointment at Hines VA Medical Center and is a Visiting Researcher at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL. Her research involves investigating the implementation of best practices and novel technologies/interventions for neurorehabilitation, particularly in rural rehabilitation settings. This includes studying interdisciplinary healthcare delivery models for supporting neurorehabilitation and aging, including proactive and reactive service delivery. Her research aims to improve neurorehabilitation services' quality, access, and value in rural and underserved communities.
