Research Scientist
Shirley Ryan Abilitylab
chicago, IL, United States
The main focus of my research has been to understand motor control in humans with and without neurological disorders with the goal of developing rehabilitation strategies to promote recovery after neurological injuries.
I currently work as a research scientist at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, formerly known as Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. I have been trained in aspects of investigation on spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation, including quantification of different components in spasticity, investigation of inhibitory pathways after human SCI, as well as exploration of novel neuromodulation methods. My current research activities are geared towards development of neuroplasticity-based rehabilitation protocols to promote recovery after human SCI.
